Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Kevin Boehm of Boehm Racing is making the transition from club/amateur racing to pro racing in 2020, driving the Honda Racing/HPD Turn-key Civic Si race car in TC America. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to race in TC America this year," Boehm says. "With the support of long-time partners, new sponsors who believed in the vision, family, and friends, we were able to make the jump from club to pro. I look forward to getting out onto the track with the HPD Turn-key Civic Si this season." In TC America, there are three classes: TCR, TC, and TCA. Boehm is racing in the TCA class. Traditionally, a driver makes the transition from amateur or club racing to pro through TCA, with the goal of eventually moving up the ranks to TC and/or TCR. TCA is made up of limited-prep versions of TC cars, with lower horsepower (~160-220). Both front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive race cars are allowed.
In 2020, there are eight events with two, 40-minute races each. Learn more about the schedule at TCAmerica.us and watch the races for free at tcamerica.us/live. |
