AUSTIN, Texas (May 17, 2022) – CrowdStrike Racing is hoping there’s no place like home this weekend when it competes at Circuit of The Americas near Austin, Texas for a full weekend of SRO Motorsports America action. The 3.4-mile, 20-turn COTA venue will see three CrowdStrike Racing entries take part in three of SRO America’s five series from Friday through Sunday:
In the headlining GT World Challenge America championship, Kurtz and Braun lead the Pro-Am Drivers Championship on the strength of two victories with the No. 04 CrowdStrike Mercedes-AMG GT3. The duo were victorious on the opening weekend at Sonoma Raceway in California and took another win in the most recent event at NOLA Motorsports Park near New Orleans. Read more.
SONOMA, Calif. (April 4, 2023) – CrowdStrike Racing proved that there really is no place like home after a highly successful weekend at Sonoma Raceway during SRO Motorsports America’s first full event of 2023. The GT Challenge of Sonoma protected by CrowdStrike brought five podium finishes in six races for the CrowdStrike Racing program. The victories came in front of a big crowd of employees from the technology leader, as more than 100 came with their families, as well as other VIP guests, for a weekend full of interactive experiences that highlighted the company’s role as a leading sponsor of SRO America. George Kurtz and Colin Braun made sure CrowdStrike Racing fans went home happy with their runner-up finish in Saturday’s 90 minute race, and an overall victory in the second race on Sunday in Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS. The duo piloted the No. 04 CrowdStrike Racing by Riley Mercedes AMG GT3 to an overall victory, closing the weekend as championship contenders once again in the series’ Pro-Am category. Read more.
AUSTIN, Texas (March 29, 2023) – Following a “soft launch” of the 2023 SRO Motorsports America season last month in St. Petersburg, CrowdStrike Racing heads to Sonoma Raceway for a full program of competition this weekend with entries in each of SRO America’s premier GT racing series. The opening of the SRO America weekend is part of the GT Challenge of Sonoma protected by CrowdStrike. A stunning field of 140 cars are entered across five race series that will test their mettle around the 1.99-mile, 12-turn Sonoma Raceway circuit. CrowdStrike Racing will be present in three categories at Sonoma:
In their first race of the season together, Kurtz and Braun will look to win at Sonoma for the third – and possibly fourth – time. There are two 90-minute races in GT World Challenge, and the pairing were victorious once in each of the last two seasons at Sonoma in their CrowdStrike Mercedes-AMG. In addition, Kurtz swept the opening weekend of GT America in 2021 at Sonoma and captured one of the two 40-minute races a year ago in another CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG. He will look for his first GT America victory of 2023 this weekend. New to the CrowdStrike Racing program is Pirelli GT4 America. After claiming championships in two of SRO America’s Touring Car categories in 2020 and 2022, Boehm is “graduating” to production-based GT racing with the CrowdStrike/AWS BMW M4 GT4 from Random Vandals Racing alongside new teammate Koch.
