When I made the jump from club racing to the professional SRO paddock in 2020, I was effectively a "one-man show," balancing the roles of driver, engineer, and lead mechanic. That was the year I met Operation Motorsport, and it’s no exaggeration to say they changed the trajectory of my career.

Where It All Began (2020)
Operation Motorsport stepped in during my rookie season in TC America to provide the mechanical and logistical support I desperately needed. By embedding medically retired and wounded service members (beneficiaries) into our crew, we didn't just find extra hands—we found a level of precision and "cool under pressure" that only veterans bring to the table. That year, we took home the TCA Drivers’ Championship, Team Championship, and Rookie of the Year.

More Than Just Racing
Over the last six years, this partnership has grown into something much deeper than technical support.

• The Race of Remembrance (images above from the 2025 event): One of the most impactful moments of my career was joining OpMo in Wales for the 2022 Race of Remembrance. It’s a grueling 12-hour endurance race that pauses for a Sunday morning service—a powerful reminder that we race for those who no longer can. In 2025, I was honored to join the team for the inaugural CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance Powered by AWS at VIR.
• A Lasting Legacy: I am incredibly honored that Operation Motorsport established the "Kevin Boehm Team/Identity/Purpose Award," which is presented annually to teams or individuals who embody the core values of the foundation within the SRO Motorsports series.

Looking Toward 2026
Coming off our 2025 GT4 America Silver Class Championship, the momentum has never been stronger. As we defend our title in 2026 with the #97 CrowdStrike/AWS BMW M4 GT4 EVO, the mission remains the same: to Excite, Engage, and Empower our veterans through the high-stakes world of motorsport.

The 2026 Pirelli GT4 America season is officially underway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start at Sonoma Raceway. It was a busy weekend filled with exciting multi-class racing, and we are thrilled to have secured hardware in both sessions.

• A Strong Partnership: Working with Francis Selldorff in the Silver Class has been an incredible experience. We are already meshing well behind the wheel, and that chemistry was the key to our consistency throughout the weekend.

Partner Spotlight: Impact60 & the TAP Program
Between racing sessions, our car proudly featured the Impact60 livery. This season, we are specifically partnering with this Central Ohio non-profit to spotlight their Teaching Automotive Principles (TAP) Program.

The TAP program is dedicated to providing essential mechanical training to individuals seeking careers with high earning potential. This mission is deeply personal to me; my own career began with being hands-on with my race car before moving into the professional driver's seat. My journey is proof that these technical skills serve as a true launchpad. We want to show the world that while this program builds local technicians, the skills learned can take someone all the way to the elite world of motorsports.

Understanding GT4 America: The "Road to Track" Connection
For those new to the sport, Pirelli GT4 America is a premier North American racing series featuring “Grand Touring” sports cars. Unlike the open-wheel cars seen in IndyCar or Formula 1, GT4 cars are based on the high-performance models you see on the road today—like the BMW M4. These cars are professionally modified for extreme speeds, endurance, and safety. Each race is a 60-minute “sprint” featuring two drivers who share the car, making it a high-speed showcase of technical precision, mechanical reliability, and teamwork.

The “Driver-Engineer” Advantage for a Cause
Boehm’s 2026 campaign is built on his unique “Driver-Engineer” synergy. As an accomplished OEM Principal Engineering Manager with over 15 years of industry experience, Boehm bridges the gap between the lab and the podium. For 2026, he is leveraging that platform to advocate for the TAP Program, a workforce development initiative that provides free automotive technician training to individuals looking for a defined career path.

A Season of Representation
Throughout the 2026 season, Boehm Motorsports will dedicate its platform to bringing national awareness to the localized work of Impact60. Based in Ohio, Impact60 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to improving lives in Union County and surrounding areas through community-driven, direct-impact initiatives.

Boehm will place a special focus on the Teaching Automotive Principles (TAP) Program—a free automotive maintenance technician exploration and basic training program for individuals within partner agencies and schools. This path mirrors Boehm’s own progression, where his hands-on engineering foundation led him from performing his own mechanical work with his own race car to a career as a professional driver. He will illustrate how the technical skills learned in the TAP class forms a similar foundation for a professional motorsports career, showcasing that a technical education provides a blueprint for success in a professional path.
His representation will also highlight Impact60’s broader mission. This includes addressing immediate community needs—such as food insecurity and homelessness—while championing long-term support for mental health and workforce development.

The program brings together three previous GT4 champions across its four drivers, signaling AutoTechnic Racing’s intent to contend for titles on multiple fronts.

The Silver Class Entry: Defending the Title - Car #51

Leading the charge in the Silver Class is a dynamic new pairing consisting of reigning SRO Pirelli GT4 America champion Kevin Boehm and 2023 IMSA VPRC Champion Francis Selldorff.
Boehm, the 2025 Pirelli GT4 America Silver Class Champion, joins AutoTechnic Racing to defend his title. As well as a two-time TC America Champion and four-time SCCA National Champion, Boehm is widely recognized for his engineering-led approach to driver development and car setup. He is joined by Selldorff, forming a duo focused on consistency and technical precision.

Selldorff, the 2023 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge GSX Champion, has quickly established himself as a rising talent in sports car racing. After progressing through SCCA competition, Selldorff stepped up to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition, earning his first series victory at the Four Hours of Mid-Ohio in 2025. In 2026, he joins AutoTechnic Racing in SRO Pirelli GT4 America while also making select IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance starts.

The Pro-Am Class Entry: Veteran Leadership (Car #19)

AutoTechnic Racing’s second BMW M4 GT4 Evo will compete in the highly competitive Pro-Am class, featuring the veteran pairing of Stevan McAleer and Roland Krainz.
McAleer, a multi-time sports car champion, brings a wealth of experience to the program. He will partner with longtime friend and co-driver Roland Krainz, who continues to establish himself as a force in the GT4 ranks. Together, they form one of the more experienced Pro-Am lineups on the 2026 grid. 

“I’m super excited to join Roland in the Pro-Am class in SRO GT4 America this year. He is one of the first people I met when I came to the States almost 20 years ago, and I’ve been working with him since the very beginning through multiple race series. We have built a tremendous friendship, and now to share driving duties with him in a very competitive class is incredible. I also look forward to another challenge with AutoTechnic Racing and building into their already very strong SRO program. It’s been a few years since I was in SRO, but a previous winner of the Pro-Am class, I think Roland and I can fight for wins and a championship in our first shot”

Krainz enters the season after competing in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and brings growing momentum to the program. Reuniting with McAleer in the BMW M4 GT4 EVO, the duo combines experience, trust, and proven pace as they target strong results throughout the season.

There are race tracks, and then there are hallowed grounds.

This past week, we traveled to Daimlerstraße 19 in Garching—the address that serves as the heartbeat of BMW M. It is the birthplace of the cars we race, and for one night, it was the center of the motorsport world as we attended the 2025 BMW M Night of Trophies.

It was incredibly special to make this trip not just as a duo, but with the people who made this season possible: my co-driver Kenton Koch and Paul Sparta, team owner, representing the crew from Random Vandals Racing.

Winning the 2025 Pirelli GT4 America Silver Class Championship was a grind, fought lap by lap, and standing in Germany made every late night in the garage worth it.

Experiencing the World of BMW M

The evening kicked off at 5:00 p.m. with the "BMW M Visiting" session. Before the formalities began, we had the chance to experience the world of BMW M up close.

By the time the official welcome started at 6:30 p.m., the room was buzzing. The energy was distinct—it wasn't just a corporate event; it was a room full of racers who share the same DNA.


The Awards & Celebration

The European style of celebration is something special. We enjoyed a curated dinner late into the evening, which gave us plenty of time to reflect on the season.

Walking up to accept an award for the Silver Class Championship and for being one of the top ten BMW drivers in the world, was a surreal moment. These trophies represent more than just driving. They represent the strategy, the mechanical work, and the trust we built throughout the season.

To have our efforts recognized by BMW M directly—in the very building where it all starts—is a massive honor. We wrapped up the night celebrating as a team one last time before the 2026 prep begins.

Yesterday, we had the distinct pleasure of returning to the classroom to teach our annual session with the Teaching Automotive Principles (TAP) program. It is always a highlight of our year to connect with the next generation of automotive professionals, and this session was no exception.

A Day of Learning and Community

The atmosphere in the classroom and lab was excellent. The students were incredibly engaged, asking insightful questions and showing a genuine curiosity about the automotive trade. It is inspiring to see such drive in students who are just beginning their journey in the industry.

We also want to extend a sincere thank you to the regular class instructors. Their dedication to the students’ success is evident in every interaction. Seeing instructors who are so hands-on and invested in the growth of their class makes a significant difference in the quality of the training.

After the lesson concluded, we had the opportunity to sit down and share a Thanksgiving meal with the cohort. It was a wonderful way to connect on a personal level and celebrate the season of gratitude together.

About the TAP Program

For those who may not be familiar with it, Teaching Automotive Principles (TAP) is a vital community resource. Sponsored by IMPACT60, a nonprofit charitable 501c3 organization, TAP serves as a free automotive maintenance technician exploration and basic training program.

The program is comprehensive and designed to give students a real-world look at the career. Held in Union County over 10 weeks in the fall, the course includes:

• Comprehensive Curriculum: A minimum of 50 hours of training.
• ​Blended Learning: A mix of interactive classroom lessons and auto lab skills practice.
• Real-World Experience: A final 10 hours of observation and hands-on hours at a dealership.

We look forward to seeing how this group of students progresses in their studies. Programs like TAP are essential for the future of the automotive trades, and we are proud to support them.

The inaugural six-hour CrowdStrike Veterans Race of Remembrance powered by AWS was a true test of endurance, featuring down-to-the-last lap racing and an unforgettable Remembrance Service at Virginia International Raceway on Saturday, November 9th.

Newly crowned GT4 America Silver class champion Kevin Boehm drove the No. 22 Operation Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 across the line first in the Freedom class, with the sister No. 11 Operation Motorsport BMW right behind him—both machines expertly supported by Random Vandals Racing and crewed by veteran beneficiaries.

This event was more than a race; it was a meaningful tribute to veterans and those who have given their lives for their countries, perfectly blending competition with commemoration. Read more.

The 2025 SRO GT4 America season culminated in an absolutely incredible finish, with the final two races taking place at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 17th–19th. The weekend delivered fantastic news for Random Vandals Racing, as the team officially secured the Silver Class Championship!

Championship Secured and Race Recap
The season-long battle came to a close with the team's #97 CrowdStrike/AWS BMW M4 GT4 EVO powered by Random Vandals Racing crowned the champions. The title was clinched immediately as the car, driven by Kevin and Kenton, took the green flag for Race 1 on Saturday, putting the championship out of reach for their competitors.

While an unfortunate early flat tire in Race 1 relegated the team to an 8th-place finish, it did not dampen spirits or affect the season standings, as the championship trophy was already secured.

The team came back strong on Sunday for Race 2, which was contested on a challenging wet track. Kenton executed a fantastic start, successfully handing the car over to his co-driver, Kevin, in the lead after several competitors encountered mistakes or mechanical issues. Kevin noted that getting the car in the lead from Kenton was always a great feeling, praising his teammate for his pace and professionalism throughout the entire season.

Kevin's stint was a tricky balancing act as the track began to dry out, making tire management absolutely crucial. The driver found himself battling hard and having to anticipate how much the tires would degrade. Despite an unfortunate moment with a well-respected competitor that resulted in a spin, Kevin immediately recovered, kept pushing, and focused on regaining the lost spots. The team ultimately finished the season on a high note with a hard-fought second-place podium finish.

A Season for the Record Books
This final result served as the perfect capstone to an extraordinary season. Together, the two drivers finished the year with a remarkable 10 podiums, including 6 wins.

Immediately following the race, the team's thoughts were nothing but praise for the entire operation. They extended their appreciation to the whole Random Vandals Racing crew, who consistently provided a reliable and fast car, calling it a "rocketship" every race. Their dedication and tireless work behind the scenes were instrumental in the championship victory, solidifying the team's position as one of the fastest BMWs throughout the season. The championship truly belongs to the entire Random Vandals Racing family for their hard work and dedication.

This poignant event features a 6-hour multi-class endurance race, the Radical World Finals, the Ford Mustang Cup, and a special trackside Remembrance Day service. It is a truly special weekend, and the team will be racing to honor veterans and service members.
