Kevin Boehm Adds Skip Barber Racing School Partnership to CrowdStrike/AWS Team for the 2022 TC America Season
COLUMBUS, Ohio. (Mar 02, 2022) – CrowdStrike/AWS driver and engineer Kevin Boehm and the Skip Barber Racing School are excited to announce a new team partnership for the 2022 TC America season that will strengthen the competitiveness of both parties.
Kevin Boehm was showing off his Honda Civic “R” at his auto workshop in rural Union County last week and said that this particular model was available to anybody, but to be sure, there are very few of them out there. The production numbers for this particular four-door were limited indeed.
Manufactured by Honda Performance Development, the Honda ‘R’ at Mr. Boehm’s shop is not exactly like one that you would find on a showroom floor. These particular cars are built and developed specifically to A. win, B. gather information to allow advancements to be made so the cars can go even faster, and C. win. Read more.
Kevin Boehm and the team behind the No. 9 Honda Civic Type R will be eager to end the season on a high note, following a weekend of highs and lows at Sebring International Raceway last week. Remarkably, Boehm had his first DNF of the season, where the engineer and race car driver have so far earned six podiums and an additional three top-five finishes so far this season. Boehm and DXDT currently stand third in the TC driver and team standings, and still mathematically in the 2021 battle for the championship titles. Read more.
Kevin Boehm’s performance of steady progression throughout the year continued at Sebring International Raceway, starting with him earning pole position in race one for TC America. He ran up front for the majority of race one until a competitor with a more advantageous setup managed to charge through the field from the rear to the front and take the win. In race two, Boehm started from fourth place, and climbed through the pack to race in first, but his race ended early after a damper broke, resulting in his first incomplete race of the season.
"Sebring was an up and down event for me. It started off strong in qualifying with pole position. I led a bunch of laps in race one and eventually fell to the second position, where we finished. I’m really happy with that result, especially since we have struggled in hot races in the past. Race two started off strong as well from fourth. We were leading by the end of the first lap and stayed there for a while, but got passed by a couple of cars. We were racey and had a good chance of moving forward at the end of the race. But we had a mechanical problem on the car and were unable to finish. We’re working on fixing that now and we’ll be ready for Indianapolis." Read more.

At racetracks like Wisconsin’s Road America – and others on the SRO Motorsports America schedule – speed obviously is the name of the game.
