Crowdstrike race car driver Kevin Boehm and co-driver Kenton Koch celebrated a spectacular weekend at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) from July 18-20, 2025. Piloting the #97 CrowdStrike/AWS BMW M4 GT4 powered by Random Vandals Racing, the duo secured two first-place finishes in the Silver class, completing a dominant sweep at the GT4 America event. This outstanding performance not only reaffirmed their lead in the championship but also extended it by a significant 32 points. Race 1 Recap: A Sprint to Victory
The first race at VIR began with an unexpected turn of events. After the initial green flag, a lightning delay forced a lengthy red flag period, holding Kevin Boehm in the pit lane for 35 tense minutes. When racing finally resumed, only six minutes remained on the clock. Despite the severely limited time, Boehm and Koch made the most of every second, executing five passes in less than four green flag laps to clinch a remarkable win in a true sprint to the finish. Race 2 Recap: From Start to Finish Dominance Kenton Koch kicked off Race 2 from sixth position overall and wasted no time making his way to the front. In under ten minutes, he seized the overall lead, extending it to just under four seconds before the team's pit stop at the halfway mark. After Kevin Boehm took over the car and the competition completed their pit cycles, the #97 BMW re-emerged as the leader with a commanding seven-second advantage over the second-place car. The lead continued to grow, reaching over 11 seconds, until a late-race yellow flag period bunched up the field, erasing their substantial lead and setting up a nail-biting sprint to the finish. Boehm, however, aced the restart with seven minutes remaining, pulling away decisively to the checkered flag. This secured their second win of the weekend and an impressive fourth consecutive victory for the team. Boehm Motorsports extended a massive thank you to their dedicated team, Random Vandals Racing, and their invaluable sponsors, CrowdStrike and AWS, for their unwavering support throughout the successful weekend. The team looks forward to continuing their championship pursuit with this momentum. |
