Boehm Motorsports wrapped up the GT4 America weekend at Barber Motorsports Park with a P2 finish in Race 1 and a P4 finish in Race 2 in the Silver Class, keeping the team solid in 3rd place in the Silver Class championship standings heading into the finale. Race 1: P2 Finish
After setting a blazing lap in qualifying, Francis Seldorff started Race 1 in 2nd position. Facing tight competition, Seldorff fell back to 4th before the pit window opened. The team elected to pit early to undercut the competition, putting Kevin Boehm right behind the 2nd and 3rd place cars as they exited pit lane. Although Boehm had strong pace, passing required patience. About 10 minutes later, a lapped car bunched up the group, giving Boehm the opportunity to execute a dramatic double pass through Turn 5 to move from 4th to 2nd. After fighting off charging competitors for the remainder of the stint, bringing the No. 51 BMW M4 GT4 EVO home in P2 was a huge result and a solid championship points haul. Race 2: P4 Finish Race 2 presented a whole new challenge. A qualifying lap just 0.2s off ideal meant starting back in 15th position in an exceptionally tight field. Boehm fought his way forward with patient aggression during the opening stint before handing off to Seldorff, who rejoined in 8th overall and 4th in class. After penalty shuffling across the grid, the team ultimately settled into 4th position—bagging more vital championship points. Catch the Race Replays:

Remembering a Beloved Teammate Before heading into the final stint at Indy, the team wanted to share an update from home. Sharon and Kevin recently said goodbye to their beloved 15-year-old beagle, Buster. For 15 years, Buster was far more than just a family pet—he was a constant teammate. Whether logging endless hours right by Kevin’s side out in the garage or keeping watch (i.e., snoozing) next to the simulator during late-night race prep, he was always right there. Navigating this loss makes this a particularly challenging and emotional time for the family. The team plans to carry his memory forward both on and off the track. For those inclined to honor his memory, donations can be made to the Beagle Freedom Project. |
